How to record or stream the timer

  1. Choose a background: Green screen (#00B140) or Blue screen for chroma key, or Black to drop out with a Screen/Add blend mode.
  2. Set count down or count up, the time, and digit size.
  3. Press Hide controls (H) or go fullscreen (F), then capture the window in OBS or your screen recorder.

Keying out the background

In OBS, add the browser window as a Window Capture, then add a Chroma Key filter set to green or blue. In video editors, apply a chroma key effect, or place the black version above your footage with the Screen blend mode — the black disappears and only the white digits remain. Avoid green digits on a green screen; white or yellow keys cleanly.

Frequently asked questions

Can I get a transparent timer for OBS?

Browsers can't capture true transparency here, but the green or blue screen keys out cleanly with OBS's Chroma Key filter, and the black background disappears with a Screen blend mode.

Can the timer count up instead of down?

Yes. Choose “Count up” to run it as a clean stopwatch, useful for speedruns, workouts, or timing a live segment.

How do I bring the controls back?

Press H, or hover over the timer and click “Show controls”.
