Your long break after four Pomodoros — or a short power nap.
Ready for a long break
Space start / pause · R reset
In the Pomodoro Technique, a long break of 15–30 minutes follows every fourth focus session, giving your brain time to consolidate. Fifteen minutes is also a popular nap length: short enough that most people wake without grogginess. Set a 20-minute preset if you need a moment to fall asleep. Get back to work with the main timer.
Short naps of about 10–20 minutes are widely recommended because they tend to end before deep sleep, so you wake feeling refreshed rather than groggy.
A common rhythm is after every four 25-minute Pomodoros, or roughly every two hours of focused work.
