The short version
- No sign-up is needed. Every timer, tool and calculator runs in your browser.
- Your settings, tasks, notes and results are saved on your own device, not on our servers.
- We don't sell your data and we don't run advertising trackers.
- If you choose to connect a Stuon account, your completed focus sessions are sent to Stuon.
Data stored on your device
Online Timer uses your browser's local storage to remember things like timer lengths, theme color, tasks, notes, focus history, calculator inputs, alarms and saved cities. This data never leaves your device unless you connect Stuon (see below). You can delete it at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings.
Microphone and location
Some tools ask for permission only when you press a button: the Noise Meter uses your microphone to measure sound level, and the sun and moon pages can use your location to calculate local times. This processing happens entirely in your browser. Audio is never recorded or uploaded, and your location is not sent to us. You can refuse or revoke these permissions at any time, and the tools still work with a city you pick manually.
Optional Stuon sync
On the main timer you can sign in with a Stuon account. Sign-in is handled by Google Firebase Authentication. When connected, each completed focus session (date, duration, start and end time, and the name of your current task) is saved to your Stuon history, and the focus report shows the Stuon leaderboard. This data is handled under Stuon's own terms and privacy policy. You can disconnect at any time from Settings.
Third-party services
Pages load a few resources from other services: Google Firebase scripts on the main timer, and images from stuon.space. Like any website, these services and our hosting provider may receive standard technical information such as your IP address and browser type to deliver the content. Links to Instagram, the Chrome Web Store, Stuon and other sites are covered by their own privacy policies.
Children
Many tools are made for classrooms and families. They don't need an account and don't collect personal information. Stuon sync is not intended for children under 13 without a parent's or school's involvement.
Changes and contact
If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Questions? Reach us on Instagram (@studoapp) or through stuon.space.
